How we keep you secure

The secure authentication and payment validation technology underlying MobiCash is called NSDT^TM.

NSDT^TM uses the mobile phone’s audio channel to transmit secure information used to electronically sign transactions.

All phones can make payments using NSDT^TM irrespective of the cell  phone model or network operator being used. You do not need to modify your phone in order to use MobiCash.

Security

Each time you make a transaction, encrypted information is embedded in an audio one-time password (OTP) that is sent to the payment server through your phone’s audio channel. OTPs are only valid for 1 transaction and have a very short life span, making them useless if intercepted and replayed. All transactions are confirmed by text message. Clients can require a PIN code for all payments for additional protection.

MobiCash transactions are made using a patented NSDT technology. This technology provides a very high level of security (smart card level). The security of MobiCash also rests on the security of your phone’s SIM card, which is presently incorruptible. As long as you have your phone, no one can use your MobiCash account. Access to your client space on the MobiCash website is equally protected using NSDT and access is only granted if your phone is present.

MobiCash does not store any payment or credit card information. This sensitive information is only used by Tagattitude’s partner PayBox during transactions. PayBox handles credit transactions securely and keeps user information protected. 

MobiCash never discloses client phone numbers, emails, or other information to merchants or any other third party.
